To continue the series of messages because we are so close to Christmas and this year everything is so strange when it comes to schedule that I picked… I want to take a little detour today in our series of messages and I want to bring a reminder to you guys that I believe that we need to be reminded of every single year. Those of you who have paid attention know that when you walk into our church here, there is a sign on the left side that basically tells you what’s the reason for our existence. No we are not going to talk about that today. I want you to read it. That’s the reason why Atlantic Baptist Church exists. It’s out there and if you are part of this church, that’s what you strive for. You measure everything you do, everything you are based on that statement that is out there. If you are not part of this church family yet officially, we welcome you; come over and be part of us and that would be great. We are giving you a great opportunity. If you get baptized on the 25 of December, on Christmas Day, nobody forgets the day you got baptized. Nobody forgets it.
So we are doing something special this year. It’s been one of those crazy things. We had a couple of people who needed to be baptized last month and they couldn’t do it because of family issues. They are going to be here on the 25th and I said hey, the more the merrier. Let’s do it on the 25th. If you have not been baptized by immersion. If you know Christ as your Lord and Savior the next step after you trust Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior is to be baptized. To give public testimony of your faith. See you are doing it in front of a bunch of Christians and you tell them “Hey… I know Christ my Lord and Savior,” that’s basically what you do. Then you identify yourself with true Christians in the world by doing that.
