What Will It Be; Death Or Life? (Part II) — Proverbs Part XXVII

by

All the words we utter can be grouped in two: words of death or words of life.  As followers of Christ is incumbent on us to recognize what we say and choose to speak words that instill life in the hearer.  Unfortunately, as spiritually fallen beings, we sometimes don’t.  Instead we sometimes choose false flattery or gossip or slander.  Not pleasing to God nor edifying to the hearer.

Scriptures referenced in chronological order:
James 3:1–12; Proverbs 6:12-14, 10:18, 15:2, 18:7-8, 20:17, 28:23; Luke 6:45

Righteousness IV — Proverbs Part XXV

by

Living right with God influences our work and our words. You will thrive if you are diligent at work but will fail if you are lazy or resort to the unlawful or unethical. Think before you speak and choose words that build others up, words that encourage others and, when you need to rebuke someone, measure your words and speak the truth in love.

Scriptures referenced in chronological order:
John 3:16; 10:10; Romans 3:23; 6:23; 5:8; 10:13, 8-10; Proverbs 10:2–5; 6-11; 1 John 3:17–20; James 3:1–12; Proverbs 18:21
